Youth Ministries

Preparing the Next Generation

The desire of our Children’s Ministry is to build a solid biblical base for our children to grow in the knowledge and love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We provide classes for children from walkers (18 months) through 6th grade, and nursery childcare for infants. Our curriculum is God-centered and committed to teaching the inspired Word of God.

Our curriculum covers both the Old and the New Testaments so the children get a full picture of who God is, His grace, and His plan of salvation through Jesus Christ as well as practical every day application. Each class has age-appropriate material that has been coordinated through all ages to promote the best understanding of Scripture and the Gospel as the children grow.

Young Children

Children’s church is a time of teaching God’s Word for children who are ages 4 through 4th grade during the adult Sunday school and worship times on Sunday mornings. Children begin worship in song and prayer with the adults in the Worship Center at 9:00 a.m. and then are dismissed to Bee-liever’s club for Bible teaching and activities at an age-appropriate level by loving and caring teachers.

During regular service, nursery and toddler church child care is available. Children ages kindergarten through third grade are dismissed after the service prayer to Team Kid (Children’s Church), for Bible teaching, activities, and a snack.

Teens & Youth

Alpha-Teens: We help youth develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by providing resources to grow in worship, ground them in the Word, and give them opportunities to witness and serve others.

Senior High Youth Group: The Senior High Youth Ministry is open to 9th through 12th grade students. Our ministry includes a team of adults who love God and have a heart for students.

Vacation Bible School

VBS – July 6:30pm-8:30pm

Watch our Calendar for Dates!

Vacation Bible School is five days of Bible learning, songs, play, crafts, puppets, skits, and overall fun along with a closing evening program during the summer.  This is an amazing time of teaching God’s Word to children in grades pre-school through 6th!  God-honoring adults and youth prepare for weeks and months to make this outreach to children biblical, fun, and applicable.  Our goal is to reach children with the Gospel of Christ and to teach them how to apply biblical truths to their lives in a loving and safe environment.

Teen Week

Teen Week – August, 6:30pm-9:30pm

Watch our Calendar for Dates!
Teen Week is five days of Bible learning, games, food, skits, Praise and Worship, fellowship, and overall fun.  We are passionate about our local youth and have made it our mission to provide relevant opportunities for them to find community with other Christ-seekers. Throughout the year, we provide regular youth groups during evening service for 5-12th graders. Teen Week kicks off the school year for 6th – 12th graders and wraps up summer with a fun-filled week! If you have any questions about how to get your child involved, we’d love to hear from you.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re a church in the Macomb area with the goal of reaching out to our fellow neighbors and communities with the love and truth of God presented in a contemporary, relevant, and compassionate way. We’re trying to do church in a way that will make the message of Christianity accessible to as many people as possible, but especially to those who are lacking a meaningful church connection in their lives right now.

In the mid-1830s, a small group of community members met for a service that took place at the home of John McCord in the southwestern part of Emmet Township, just East of Argyle State Park.  The members of that little church sacrificed much to continue to grow together, and their dream was to establish a stationary church. As we talked to others, we began to feel that the idea might really have some merit. Over the next several years God brought together a group of about 60 people or so to make it happen. He also provided the leadership and funding that we needed to put it together. And here we are ...

Nope. We are a non-denominational church (or inter-denominational, as some people call it). We were started by several organizations that provided invaluable financial, spiritual and practical support —organizations that included the Midwest Baptist Conference and the Emerging Leadership Initiative. Since then, God has led us into a non-denominational existence while maintaining valuable relationships to these organizations.

Our theology can be best described as Bible-based. In other words, we believe that God has given us his Word in the Bible. What we do and who we are flows out of what we discover therein.

Of course you can. Argyle provides programs for infants through fifth-grade called the Children's Ministry as well as Student Ministries for middle-school and high-school aged kids. We take seriously our responsibility of lovingly sharing God’s truth with your children, just as we take seriously lovingly sharing God’s truth with anyone.

Yes! We'd love for you to check out the events we have going on at Argyle Bible Church.
